Biography

An All-American at Pennsylvania's Washington & Jefferson College, Buddy was regarded as one of the best backcourt players between 1938 and 1948. In pre-NBA days, Jeannette helped win titles for the NBL's Sheboygan Redskins in 1943 and the Fort Wayne Pistons in 1944 and 1945. In 1948, he became the first player-coach to win a professional championship. He was head coach at Georgetown University for four seasons from 1952 to 1956.
