National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Revealed
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 31, 2024) – Eight legends of college basketball have been selected for induction into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2024. This extraordinary group includes seven players and one coach who collectively defined an era of excellence, setting records and achieving milestones that continue to resonate in the history of the sport.
The Class of 2024 will be posthumously celebrated at the next National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Details for the induction event will be announced at a later date.

Inductee Achievements
Dave Meyers (UCLA)
- Collegiate Career: 1,051 career points; 48.5% shooting; 89 games played
- NCAA Titles: 1973 and 1975 championships with UCLA
- Senior Season (1974–75):
- Averaged 18.3 points and 7.9 rebounds.
- Consensus first-team All-American
- Coach John Wooden Award, 1975 UCLA Team MVP
- Led UCLA to a 28–3 record and a 92–85 victory over Kentucky in the NCAA title game, recording 24 points and 11 rebounds.
- NBA Career: Selected second overall in the 1975 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Played five seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 3,149 points (11.2 PPG), 1,771 rebounds (6.3 RPG), and 652 assists (2.3 APG).
Sihugo Green (Duquesne)
- Collegiate Career:
- 1955 NIT Champion, scoring 33 points in the the final
- Averaged 24.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game as a senior.
- Career averages: 18.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
- Professional Career: First overall pick in the 1956 NBA Draft by the Rochester Royals.
Lennie Rosenbluth (North Carolina)
- Collegiate Career:
- Averaged 0 points per game in 1957, leading UNC to a perfect 32–0 record and its first NCAA Championship.
- Career points: 2,045 (ACC record at the time).
- Holds UNC records for most points in a single season (897) and highest single-season scoring average (28.0 PPG).
- Accolades:
- 1957 Helms Player of the Year
- 1957 ACC Player of the Year
- No. 10 jersey retired by UNC.
Wayne Estes (Utah State)
- Collegiate Career:
- Scored 2,001 points (26.7 PPG) and grabbed 893 rebounds (11.9 RPG).
- Holds school records for career scoring average, free throws made (469), and single-game points (52).
- 1965 Senior Season: Averaged 33.7 points and 13.7 rebounds per game.
- Legacy: Tragically passed after scoring 48 points in his final game.
Sam Lacey (New Mexico State)
- Collegiate Career:
- Averaged 17.7 points and 15.9 rebounds in 1969–70, leading New Mexico State to its only Final Four.
- Holds school records for single-season rebounds (493) and rebounds per game (15.9).
- NBA Career: Fifth overall pick in the 1970 NBA Played 13 seasons in the NBA, amassing 10,303 points (10.3 PPG), 9,687 rebounds (9.7 RPG), and 3,754 assists (3.7 APG).
John Rudometkin (USC)
- Collegiate Career:
- Scored 1,484 points (18.8 PPG) and grabbed 831 rebounds (10.5 RPG). Led USC to the 1961 conference championship.
- First player in USC history to score 1,000 points in two seasons.
Tom Stith (St. Bonaventure)
- Collegiate Career:
- Scored 2,052 career points (26.5 PPG).
- Averaged 31.5 points in 1960 and 29.6 points in 1961, ranking among the nation’s top scorers.
- Bonaventure’s all-time leading scorer at the time of his graduation.
Coach Jack Hartman
- Coaching Career Highlights:
- 294 wins over 16 seasons at Kansas State.
- Five NCAA Tournament appearances
- 1967 NIT Championship with Southern Illinois University.
- Coached the S. men’s national team to a gold medal at the 1983 Pan American Games.
- Legacy: Inducted into the SIU Hall of Fame, Kansas State Hall of Fame, and NJCAA Hall of Fame.
