"Sir Charles" will be forever remembered as colorful, opinionated, and multi-talented. He averaged 14.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game for the Auburn University Tigers and was named 1984 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year. Barkley made an instant impact in 1984 by making the NBA All-Rookie Team with Philadelphia. His best season came in 1993 by winning the NBA MVP and a trip to the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns. Barkley's shorter stature was never a problem in the low post with an NBA career average 22.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.
