Biography

During his collegiate career at UCLA, Meyers recorded 1,051 career points and averaged 48.5 percent shooting and 72.9 percent at the free throw line during 89 games played. As a Bruin, Meyer contributed to winning NCAA titles in 1973 and 1975. In his senior year, he led UCLA to a 28–3 record and a 92–85 victory over Kentucky in the 1975 NCAA title game where he recorded 24 points and 11 rebounds. Meyers received many awards during his three year collegiate career, including the Seymour Armond Memorial Award as a freshman, the UCLA's Bruin Bench Award as a junior for most improved all-around play and was a consensus first-team All American in his senior year. He was also named the 1975 UCLA Team MVP and received the Coach John Wooden Award.

Meyers was selected second overall in the 1975 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He played five seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 3,149 points (11.2 PPG), 1,771 rebounds (6.3 RPG), and 652 assists (2.3 APG).
