Soft-spoken, unassuming and studious is the best way to describe Dave Bing. He overcame a childhood eye injury to become an All-American at Syracuse University, averaging 24.6 points per game. The NBA named Bing the 1966 Rookie of the Year and during his 12-year pro career as point guard, he averaged 20.3 points per game and 6.0 assists per game.
