Biography

Dean Everett started at center for Indiana University for three years. He was named All-American in 1921, his senior year. Everett compiled a record of 45-3 while coaching basketball at Carleton College in Minnesota, where he also coached baseball. He returned to his alma mater as head coach of both sports in 1924 and led Indiana to its first three Western Conference (now Big Ten) championships. Everett became head coach at Stanford University in 1938. His 1942 team defeated Dartmouth for the NCAA Championship.
