Biography

Known as "Hondo" and the "Man In Motion", Havlicek was a human dynamo and an All-American at Ohio State. He helped lead the Buckeyes to a three-year record of 78-6 and the 1960 NCAA Championship. Havlicek was drafted in 1962 by both the NBA's Boston Celtics and the NFL's Cleveland Browns, despite the fact he never played college football. He helped the Celtics to win 8 NBA Championships and was an 11-time NBA All-Star. A tenacious defender, Havlicek scored over 26,000 points in his NBA career and was named among the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History.
