Known as the inventor of the modern jump shot, Sailors found it was the only way to get a shot off over his 6?5 brother as a child growing up in Hillsdale Wyoming. His invention was the catalyst to the University of Wyoming?s incredible run to the 1943 NCAA Championship. Sailors was named the Most Outstanding Player in the tournament, but his Cowboys were not done yet. They went on to beat the 1943 NIT Champion St. Johns and be crowned the undisputed kings of college basketball.
