"Coach K" began his coaching career by turning around a losing program at his alma mater, West Point. He coached Army to two NIT appearances. Krzyzewski then moved to Duke University where he guided the Blue Devils to four Final Four appearances in five years before winning the NCAA National Championship in 1991. He won the title again in 1992, making Duke the first school to win back-to-back NCAA titles since the 1973 UCLA Bruins led by John Wooden. Duke took the title again in 2001. He is the winningest active coach in the NCAA tournament and a seven-time National Coach of the Year . Coach K was Assistant Coach for the 1992 gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic "Dream Team". He was NABC President for 1998-99.
