Biography

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee 1991

After averaging 20 points a game in three seasons at the University of Texas, El Paso, the man they called "Tiny" became an NBA All-Star with the Kansas City Kings and the first player to lead the NBA in both total points and assists for a season with 34 points and 11.4 assists per game during 1972-73. He went on to lead the Boston Celtics to the 1981 NBA Championship.
