"Pistol Pete" Maravich amazed fans with his dazzling style, no-look passes and spectacular shooting. He was college basketball's first and only point-a-minute scorer. Maravich was a three-time first team All-American and set a NCAA career scoring record of 44.2 points per game at Louisiana State University where he was coached by his father, Press Maravich. He led the nation in scoring for three season from 1967 to 1970 and led LSU to the 1970 NIT semi-finals. Pistol Pete signed with the NBA Atlanta Hawks in 1970 and later played for the New Orleans/Utah Jazz.
