Biography

The most domintent center of his era, "Shaq" owned the lane during his LSU career averaging 21.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 4.6 blocks per game. He was a two-time first team All-American and Southeastern Conference player of the year. After three seasons with the Tigers, O'Neal entered the NBA draft. His professional career included an Olympic Gold medal in 1996, four NBA Championships, and League MVP in 2000. That same year, O'Neal followed up on a promise to his mother earning his bachelors degree from LSU. His passion for learning continues to this day as he has received an MBA and a Doctorate of Education.
