A master of unorthodox hook shots, Heinsohn averaged 22.1 points per game as a two-time All-American for Holy Cross in Massachusetts in 1955 and 1956. He led the Crusaders to the 1954 NIT Championship. Heinsohn joined the Boston Celtics in 1956 and led the team in scoring for 1960-1962 season. The six-time NBA All-Star later coached the Celtics to NBA Championships in 1974 and 1976.
